Our restaurant Muckensee in Lorch has been known for decades, far beyond the Ostalbkreis district.
The monastery town Lorch is located in close proximity to the major tourist cities Schwaebisch Gmuend, Schwaebisch Hall or many known wine places in Remstal. The benefit of Lorch and the Muckensee is the convenient location directly on the B29 and on the B297.
Travelers have it close to famous landmarks from the Roman and Hohenstaufen.
In our cafe and restaurant at any time larger groups are supplied quickly and reliably. We pamper you with coffee, cakes and a la carte dishes. For coach tours we also have a special menu.

We are looking back on a more than 85-year tradition.
We offer plain dishes with mainly regional products and homemade gateaux, cakes and ice creams.
Our tasty, imaginative cuisine, the attentive, friendly service and probably the most unique features of our forest-cafe, restaurant and hotel make a visit to our house always something special.
We have got rooms for 120, 80, 48 persons – outdoors we can offer 200 seats to choose from.
